UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS with sdwalkabouts
A beautiful hot day (84F) was spent walking around University Heights today. We had a very large group, maybe around 25 people, and people literally stopped us on the street and ask who we are!
University Heights is a lively neighborhood in central San Diego, California. It mixes old and new styles, with homes, shops, restaurants, and parks. The community values walking and outdoor living. Many houses are Craftsman-style from the early 1900s. The area is popular with young people, families, and students because it’s near San Diego State University and the University of San Diego. Talmadge Park is a key green space for relaxation. Texas Street and Adams Avenue have many places to eat, drink, and shop, active both day and night. Public transport and bike-friendly roads make getting around easy. Community events like farmers markets and street fairs bring neighbors together. University Heights blends historic charm with a modern city feel.
